"En Plein Air". The French term means out of doors and refers to the practice of painting entire finished pictures out of doors.
Color choices in the landscape are a combination of direct observation and interpretation. We begin by borrowing from the colors we see, but inevitably we modify or alter the color we see when the painting demands it. With "en plein air" painting, working directly from life, we rely much more on direct observation of colors.
IMPORTANT
You don’t need any experience in drawing, just an interest in the medium. Bring your own seat, and tools of trade. The group meets every 3rd Friday of each month in the afternoon.
